About Me

Dancing has guided me through life since I was a child.
Below you can learn about my journey, one dance at the time.

Carolina Cerisola

Professional Dancer

Co-Founder & Co-Executive Director of FLOOR PRODUCTIONS

Carolina Cerisola is a dancer known for a unique style that blends a Latin flavor with a mix of Burlesque and tease. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she studied rhythmic gymnastics, competing in both national and Pan-American championships before beginning her professional dance career at the age of 16. She has performed on Argentinian television and has headlined some of the most prestigious venues in Buenos Aires.

At the age of 17, Carolina set out on her first professional tour with Venezuelan legend Jose Luis Rodriguez with whom she toured throughout Latin America. Following the tour, Carolina relocated to the United States where she connected with famed salsa dancer, Johnny Vazquez. Together, they toured Europe and Latin America with the International Salsa Congress, going on to become the World Salsa Champion in 2001.

Returning to Los Angeles, Carolina signed on with Ivan Kane, a noted influencer on LA’s dance club scene. She was the headliner at Kane’s legendary club, Forty Deuce, a popular burlesque cabaret and one of the hottest spots in Hollywood until it closed in 2008.

Over a period of several years, Carolina pioneered a style of Burlesque that included performing and improvising to live music. She captured the imagination of many well-known artists including Sting, Prince, Heath Ledger, and Daniel Lanois, going on to appear on television shows that include The Jimmy Kimmel Show and The Ellen Degeneres Show, Entourage, and The Young and the Restless. In 2014, she was featured in a Bravo network reality show that was based on Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Dancers.

Carolina choreographed Zucchero in Havana, Cuba, danced with CeeLo Green (aka Loberace) at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, and has appeared in several films including Island Empire; Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang; and Undiscovered.

Carolina is also the co-founder and co-director of FLOOR PRODUCTIONS, a partnership dedicated to the learning and practice of multi-cultural music and dance. Along with her business partner, Sascha Escandon, they curate authentic talent in the production of unforgettable experiences that are intended to entertain, inspire, and transcend.

In 2012, Escandon and Cerisola co-founded THE OPEN FLOOR SOCIETY, a non-profit organization whose mission is to engage underserved youth in the art of improvisation. Fostered by a multi-cultural artistic community, it encourages self-empowerment through movement, dance, and music, and since its launch has worked with hundreds of young people through after-school programs, workshops, and exhibitions in communities that include South Gate, Lynwood, San Pedro, Compton, Rampart, Downey, and many more.

Carolina was recognized by Albert Torres, the most prominent Salsa event organizer in Los Angeles, for keeping culture alive and bringing people together. She was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Mayor of the City of South Gate in recognition for her dedication to Aspire Firestone/Gateway Academy’s after-school programs, and for encouraging creativity and self-esteem through dance and music.

Carolina’s passion is to be able to express herself and escape as a dancer, and as a producer, bringing people together and passing down her craft and knowledge to the next generation.
